Amid the inviting grounds of the Hollandse Club, House on the Hill Montessori is an ideal setting for nurturing young minds. Using the Montessori approach, we prepare children for primary school and beyond by fostering independence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. Our holistic approach goes beyond traditional academics to emphasise the well-being of each child. The school is open to members and non-members of the club. Students can enhance their educational experience with extracurricular activities like swimming, Leap and Learn, and Teddy Tennis. These optional activities, offered at an additional cost, give children enriching experiences while freeing up time on weekends.

Children are born ready to learn. During their first three years, a child’s brain undergoes rapid and crucial development, laying the groundwork for future cognitive and emotional growth.
That’s why we’ve created our Nido program, named after the Italian word for ‘nest’. It provides a nurturing environment specifically tailored for infants aged 2 to 17 months. In these early years, children’s minds are highly absorbent and during this time, they begin to develop their sense of self and their understanding of the world around them.
We proudly embrace the Montessori approach specifically designed for our youngest learners. This method is crafted to nurture the developmental needs and natural curiosity of infants and toddlers. By integrating Mandarin into our Montessori program, we provide early language exposure that enhances cognitive development and enriches their learning experience.

Sunshine has over ten years of experience in Early Childhood education. Being an early childhood educator has been her lifelong passion, and she holds a diploma in both Early Childhood Education and Montessori Method of Education. She was an invaluable senior teacher and curriculum lead at House on the Hill for eight years. In 2019, she became the principal at the Pasir Panjang Centre, and in 2022, she moved to Hollandse Club.

Nido: 2-17 months (Balmoral Campus Only)
Playgroup and Pre-Nursery: 1.5 – 3.5 years
Nursery to Kindergarten Mixed-Age Grouping: 3 – 6 years.

The curriculum includes Practical Life, Language Sensorial, Phonics, Mathematics, Culture and Geography, creative expression, and social awareness to nurture independent learning and critical thinking skills.
We also have a Mandarin program aimed at building a solid foundation for students to listen to, speak, read, and write in Mandarin.
